The green coffee is coffee, whose beans have not been baked. The process of roasting the coffee beans decreases stocks of chlorogenic acid. Hence the green coffee beans have higher levels of chlorogenic acid in comparison with the roasted coffee beans.
The chlorogenic acid is believed to help cardiovascular disease, diabetes, weight loss and other diseases such as hypertension, where the presence of the acid decreases effects on the blood vessels.
In regards to slimming, the chlorogenic acid in green coffee aids the body to manage blood sugars and metabolism.
It is however important to note that green coffee contains caffeine in the same proportions as regular coffee.
