Άγριο Τριαντάφυλλο

Το άγριο τριαντάφυλλο είναι γνωστό από το λαό της Χιλής ως Ρόζα. Ανήκει στην οικογένεια των τριαντάφυλλων και αναπτύσσεται κυρίως στην περιοχή των Άνδεων, νότιο Χιλή. Έχει θεραπευτικές ιδιότητες και είναι γνωστό για τα οφέλη που προσφέρει σε θέματα ομορφιάς.
Είναι θάμνος αυτοφυής και φυτρώνει σε πλαγιές και ξέφωτα. Ο βλαστός του  είναι πολύκλαδος και αγκαθωτός ενώ τα φύλλα του  λογχοειδή και οδοντωτά. Οι καρποί του  είναι κόκκινοι ενώ τα άνθη  λευκά ή ροζ. Η αγριοτριανταφυλλιά ανθίζει την άνοιξη και χρησιμοποιούνται τα άνθη και οι καρποί.

Τα κυνόροδα, όπως λέγονται αλλιώς τα άγρια τριαντάφυλλα, είναι πλούσια σε βιταµίνη C και αντιβιοτικά στοιχεία. Το έγχυµά τους θεωρείται ιδανικό για πονοκέφαλο και ζαλάδες αλλά και για τις άφθες. Ακόμη  συνιστάται για κρυολογήματα, γρίπη, μολυσματικές ασθένειες, διάροια, αναπνευστικές αλλεργίες, φλεγμονές νεφρών και ρευματισμούς. Ιδανικό για την πρόληψη των ρυτίδων και τη γήρανση του δέρματος. Επίσης βοηθά να φαίνονται λιγότερο έντονα τα σημάδια της ακμής  ενώ  το ροδόνερο που φτιάχνεται από τα φύλλα τους, ηρεµεί το κουρασµένο πρόσωπο , τα ερεθισµένα βλέφαρα και χαρίζει λάµψη και φρεσκάδα

Τα άνθη της αγριοτριανταφυλλιάς χρησιμοποιούνται για γλυκά του κουταλιού, μαρμελάδες αλλά και σιρόπια και ζεστά ροφήματα.
