ΜΠΟΥΚΟΒΟ ΒΙΟ 40gr Μπούκοβο ή τσίλι της Μεσογείου είναι το μπαχαρικό που προέρχεται από ψιλοκομμένες κόκκινες πιπεριές και αποτελεί την εκδοχή του ελληνικού τσίλι. Μπορεί να συνδυαστεί με ρίγανη, μαντζουράνα, βασιλικό, μαϊντανό και σκόρδο ή πιπέρι. Το όνομα του οφείλεται σε γνωστή κόκκινη πιπεριά από έναν καλόγερο που την καλλιεργούσε το 16ο αιώνα σε ένα μοναστήρι στη Σερβία. Μπούκοβο ονομάστηκε και το μοναστήρι, στο οποίο καλλιεργούνταν η ομώνυμη πιπεριά. Στην κουζίνα της Βόρειας Ελλάδας, το μπούκοβο είναι κάτι σαν το αλατοπίπερο και έχει καθημερινή χρήση σχεδόν σε όλα τα πιάτα. Ταιριάζει στα περισσότερα μαγειρευτά φαγητά. Το μεσογειακό αυτό τσίλι είναι εκτός των άλλων και αγαπημένο μπαχαρικό των πεινασμένων ξενύχτηδων, αφού συμπεριλαμβάνεται στον πατσά, αλλά και στις μακεδονίτικες σούπες, ενώ δεν λείπει και από μαγειρευτά ή ψητά.
