Σπιρουλίνα (βιολογική)

Η σπιρουλίνα είναι γένος (βρώσιμων)κυανοβακτηρίων. Γνωστότερα είδη είναι η Spirulina maxima (απαντά κυρίως σε Αφρική και Ευρώπη) και η Spirulina platensis (απαντά κυρίως στην Κεντρική και Νότια Αμερική).H σπιρουλίνα είναι ένα κυανοπράσινο φύκι, μήκους μόλις μισού χιλιοστού.
Περιέχει 60%-70%  πρωτεΐνη υψηλής ποιότητας, καθιστώντας την, την πλουσιότερη πηγή φυσικής πρωτεΐνης που έχει ανακαλυφθεί. Επίσης, περιέχει όλα τα βασικά αμινοξέα, χλωροφύλλη, φυκοκυανίνη, γ-λινολενικό  οξύ, ένζυμα, αντιοξειδωτικά, βιταμίνες, μέταλλα, ιχνοστοιχεία και πάνω από 60  ζωτικές ουσίες, δηλαδή όλα τα  απαραίτητα για ένα υγιές σώμα και  μια ενεργή ζωή.
