Επιστημονική ονομασία: Citrus Sinensis. Περιγραφή: Οπωροφόρο δέντρο, αειθαλές, της οικογένειας Ρουτιδών. Καταγωγή: Κίνα και Ινδία. Ιστορία: Οι Πορτογάλοι θαλασσοπόροι το έφεραν στην Ευρώπη γύρω στα μέσα του 15ου αι. μ.Χ. και η καλλιέργειά του έτυχε πολύ ένθερμης αποδοχής από πολλές χώρες.

Τεχνική: Εξάγεται από τον φλοιό του καρπού του δέντρου, με απόσταξη ατμού. Η εταιρία «Βιολόγος» χρησιμοποιεί εξαιρετικής ποιότητας ελληνικά πορτοκάλια Λακωνίας. Σύσταση: Με περιεκτικότητα σε Σεσκιτερπένια: κυρίως d- λιμονένιο (πολύ υψηλή περιεκτικότητα), συστατικό που χαρίζει στο έλαιο τις φημισμένες του ιδιότητες υπέρ του ανοσοποιητικού.
