Ο μαϊντανός χρησιμοποιείται  σε σαλάτες, σάλτσες, ωμό ή και μαγειρεμένο. Γενικά ο μαϊντανός είναι ένα αγαπημένο μυρωδικό που συνδυάζεται απόλυτα με ψάρια, κρέατα όπως μοσχάρι και κοτόπουλο, πατάτες, ρύζι και όσπρια αλλά και ως διακοσμητικό πιάτων, αγνοώντας όμως τα οφέλη του και την διατροφολογική του αξία.

Το εκχύλισμα του μαϊντανού μπορεί να προστεθεί μέσα σε άλλα φυσικά ροφήματα, όπως για παράδειγμα στη λεμονάδα ή να χρησιμοποιηθεί για την αραίωση συνοδευτικών ντιπ.

Τα φύλλα του μαϊντανού είναι πλούσια σε βιταμίνη C, ενώ περιέχουν και αιθέρια έλαια. Εκτός από φρέσκα μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν και αποξηραμένα. Ο κατάλογος με τις θεραπευτικές του ιδιότητες και τα οφέλη για την υγεία είναι μεγάλος.
