Μαντζουράνα

Η μαντζουράνα  είναι μια από τις ισχυρότερες πηγές φυσικών αντιοξειδωτικών.Τα φύλλα της είναι μικρά, αντίθετα, χνουδωτά, ωοειδή και έχουν μία χαρακτηριστική όμορφη οσμή λεβάντα..

Στην Ελλάδα η ματζουράνα είναι γνωστή από τα αρχαία χρόνια όπου την χρησιμοποιούσαν ως φάρμακο κατά στομαχικών και εντερικών ενοχλήσεων. Έχει καταπραϋντική δράση για τον πονοκέφαλο, τους ιλίγγους την αϋπνία, την ημικρανία ,την απώλεια μνήμης και την επιληψία, τον πονόδοντο, αλλά και σε διαταραχές του εντέρου . Συνιστάται για τη ρινοφαρυγγίτιδα και τη φαρυγγίτιδα. Βοηθάει  τη ρινίτιδα και τις αμυγδαλές. Επίσης για τις φλεγμονές των ούλων και της γλώσσας. Τέλος μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιούμε τα φύλλα της πάνω σε μώλωπες ή σε τσιμπήματα εντόμων για άμεση ανακούφιση επειδή δρα ως αντισηπτικό 

Η μαντζουράνα έχει ισχυρές μυοχαλαρωτικές και αναλγητικές ιδιότητες. Τέλος η χρήση της μαντζουράνας βοηθάει κατά των  καρδιαγγειακών παθήσεων και της θρόμβωσης. 

Τα φύλλα της χρησιμοποιούνται ως μπαχαρικό, συνήθως στο κρέας, το ψάρι, σε διάφορα αλμυρά κέικ ,σάλτσες αλλά και ως αφέψημα. Επίσης χρησιμοποιείται σαν αρωματικό αλλά και σαν συντηρητικό σε ποτά και γλυκά.

Για να παρασκευάσουμε τσάι μπορούμε να βράσουμε 1 κ.γ βότανο σε 1 φλιτζάνι νερό. Το σουρώνουμε και το πίνουμε, σκέτο ή με μέλι, τρεις φορές την ημέρα.
